Welder Service Co., Inc. was started in 1937 by Albert Holle Homrighaus (Haum-rig-house). At the time, it was the very first Lincoln Electric welding supply company in Toledo, Ohio. Because of Albert’s dedication to his customers and strong work ethic, Welder Service incorporated in 1973 and built the offices at its current location at 101 Arco Drive.
At that time, Albert’s grandsons Steve Sr. and Al were running the company. Al moved to the state of Washington, and Steve Sr. became the president. After his death in 2000, his son Steve became the current president. Through all of its 80+ years, Welder Service has been a family-owned and family-operated business and an integral part of the Toledo community.
Today Welder Service provides Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan with quality welding gases, welding supplies, welding equipment (including welding safety clothes and accessories), welder repairs and welder rentals.
When Great-Grandpa Albert opened his first welding supply store back in 1937, he knew that the key to success was to offer the customer a quality product at a competitive price along with — most importantly — the very best customer service.
Since then, quite a bit has changed in the welding gas and welding supply business, but one thing sure hasn’t . . .
